Trader Joe’s Buffalo Chicken Dip is a strong personal recommendation if you want a creamy chicken dip with cayenne-pepper sauce. Our editor marked it “love” on August 13 and wrote “One of the GOATs.” It remains second of six dips in the September 8 personal ranking.
That is an enthusiastic taste verdict from one person. The note does not include a heat score, a serving temperature or a preparation time.
What is in Buffalo Chicken Dip?
The current official record, SKU 065624, lists cooked white chicken meat, cream cheese, sour cream, cayenne pepper sauce and Monterey Jack cheese, along with onions, garlic and seasonings. Trader Joe’s describes a chicken-wing-style flavor in a creamy dip format.
The package is 12 ounces. The online record lists $4.99 at the September 8 check, with about 11 labeled servings of two tablespoons each. That serving convention does not tell you how many guests will finish a tub; choose quantities for the rest of the food you are serving.
How spicy is it?
Cayenne pepper sauce and cayenne powder are in the ingredient list. That supports calling it a spicy-style dip, but it does not establish a precise heat level. The editor’s enthusiastic note is an overall verdict, not proof that it will be mild or hot for you.
If heat determines whether you enjoy a dip, record that separately when you try it. “Loved the flavor but wanted less heat” is more useful for a future purchase than a rating with no reason.
Should I heat it?
Trader Joe’s product description discusses microwaving the dip, and the package is labeled to keep refrigerated. Follow the current package for its preparation instructions. This review does not report a timed cooking test or invent a universal microwave setting.
Why is it second in the editor’s list?
The ranking records the editor’s comparisons over time. There are two recorded comparisons involving this dip. Those are account activity, not two independent reviewers, and the short note does not explain every comparison decision.
